And it's hardly my problem when I define them correctly and you say they are incorrect. I've seen you do it with many others. If you call something "incorrect" as if you know the correct answer, give it. Like I said, I gave you the dictionary's definition of "nothing" (without telling you it was the dictionary's definition) and you said I was incorrect. So I'm not playing your game. Just calling something "incorrect" is not "helping". If I'm wrong, correct me. Tell me how and why I'm wrong.

Also, I'm sorry that some wish that believers would just admit to no evidence and reason and "just believe". But that's not how I work. I must have reasons for why I believe.

greetings everyone.. just wanted to say hello to everyone, being a new member from western europe.. some may know me from another forum (eden, from e-jehovas-witnesses.com), but most don't, so this is my little intro.. male, in my early 40's.

still an active member in good standing of a jehovah's witnesses congregation in my country, and honestly not planning to change that status, despite my unorthodox beliefs.

sometime i will elaborate the reason why i don't feel i must leave.

What he said. Although there is also a sort of "brotherhood" that exists among those that have been burned so badly by the WT. We dont' agree on many things, but we all have that traumatic experience in common.

And as the latest progress on the study of Abiogenesis shows, life can indeed come from non living sources.

Oh geeze. Show me. Please. Give me some proof that life can indeed come from no life. As far as we can see and has been demonstrated, life only comes from life. That's it. No other demonstration has been made. For the number of times you guys request "proof", you sure do allow yourself to BELIEVE things that do not have proof as well. Making the statement that abiogenesis SHOWS that life INDEED comes from non life is absolutely unfounded.

I am sure you will still perform verbal and mental convolutions to say that it doesn't demonstrate that god isn't necessary!

Just as if there was a rapture, or God Himself appeared to tell you personally of His existence, you would do the same. Rapture? Aliens or some undercover government project. God appearing? Aliens trying to fool us.

And IF the Bible is correct, there will be those that will deny God to the end.

Is the Trinitarian view point correct based on this passage-Titus 2:13?

titus 2:13- "while we wait for the blessed hope-the appearing of the glory of our great god and savior, jesus christ, " .

the part in question lies at the end of the passage "...of our great god and savior, jesus christ,".

*granville sharp's rule-when you have two nouns, which are not proper names (such as cephas, or paul, or timothy), which are describing a person, and the two nouns are connected by the word "and," and the first noun has the article ("the") while the second does not, *both nouns are referring to the same person.. this, as far as i know, has been an ongoing argument among trinitarians and non trinitarians for a very long time.

I agree, Phizzy. I don't think the OT writers had a clue that the Messiah was going to be God (or YHWH) Himself.

Use their 2 witness rule against them. You only admited it to your mother, right? Could she not have misunderstood? They need either 2 eyewitnesses (even to a confession) or a confession to the elders.

You could deny deny deny. Or you could let them know how sorry and repentent you are and hope that they have mercy.

Only in the organization can a 30 year old get in trouble from their mother for having sex.

No, I haven't followed abiogenesis closely. I know what it is and what it's trying to do/prove. But it's an impossible science that is unsupportable. It's never been observed or demonstrated. I'm obviously not a scientist, so I can't comment on what abiogenesis is doing currently. But I have watched a couple TED talks about it and read a few articles from some of its main researchers. And it was incredibly underwhelming to me. Causing something to behave like a cell or other simpler elements does not constituted life. Like I said, I can't speak in an educated way about this. But if they create life from non life, you can tell me "told you so". Me thinks you're going to have a long wait, however. And this is where you pull god of the gaps. But the position still stands that an intelligence is the best answer for the universe.

If they ever were to bring life from non life, it would be on the front page of every news outlet in the world. Won't happen. Can't happen. Life only comes from life. Not on the backs of crystals.
